Walgreens, the country's largest drugstore chain, is reportedly planning to start selling health insurance through a private health exchange. According to CNN, the chain will start selling health insurance this fall with different price ranges and coverage levels.
Health care reform calls for each state to set up a public 'exchange,' or marketplace, where employees not covered through their employers can shop for health insurance at affordable rates. However, these exchanges will not be available until 2014.
According to the article, individuals will be able to shop for a mix of insurance products online, through call centers or in-store.
