Employer-Sponsored Health Plan Costs Increase 9% for 2011

Average group health insurance premiums for families rose 9% from 2010 to 2011 to $15,073, while group health plan costs for singles rose 8% to $5,429.  According to an article published by Kaiser Health News, employers paid approximately 73% and 83% of those family and single premiums, respectively...a percentage that likely cannot continue with soaring rates.
