eHealth to Help Power HealthCare.gov

Note: This should not be taken as tax or legal advice.

In late July, eHealth Inc. won a $19.3 million federal contract to help expand the government's new health care web portal, HealthCare.gov. Using eHealth’s software, HealthCare.gov will begin providing visitors with premium and benefit summaries for all private health insurance plans.

A major effort is under way to provide additional data to the website.  The original September 3rd, 2010 deadline for small health insurers to submit information for the government’s health care portal has been delayed.
