The Department of Health and Human Services (
www.hhs.gov) released new information today on how to access the new Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan (PCIP) established by The Affordable Care Act. The new plan makes health coverage available to individuals with pre-existing conditions that have been uninsured for at least 6 months.
Twenty-nine states and the District of Columbia will administer the plan themselves. Twenty-one states elected to have HHS administer the new plan (
